Jo-Ann Van Maurik has always been involved with the arts. Her most recent passion is making fully jointed teddy bears out of upcycled fur coats. Jo-Ann also makes fur pillows, blankets, head bands, pompoms, and more.
She has received awards, from Craft Ontario and Muskoka Arts and Crafts Association. And, she is also a recently published author, Fractured by Alison Pearce.
Jo-Ann is well educated, with three post-secondary diplomas and several certifications. Most recently she became certified as a Personal Trainer. Jo-Ann lives in Meaford with her partner and their four dogs.
